Join us in Centennial Park for a Family Fun Event!

When: Sunday 30th March

Time: 10am to 1pm

Where:  Location is now Musgrave Picnic Area on Musgrave Ave, Centennial Park. Please refer to map below.

Hoping that the weather stays kind to us! Working with Centennial Parklands on a wet-weather plan (which we hopefully won’t need)
Our goals for the day:

1. Have fun
2. Grow the community and create awareness of T1D
3. Acknowledge everyone for their fantastic support so far on the journey.

 

The Plan for Sunday:

10 am – Welcome

10.15 am – Alice in Wonderland – It’s Time for a Party!!

For all the kids! Join Alice on a “mad” adventure where you will get to play tricks on the Queen of Hearts, help prepare for the tea party and make sure that the White Rabbit is not late for his very important date!

11.00 am – The Amazing Race

Fun for all the Family as both children and adults work to find clues and complete activities.

11:45 am – Mini Olympics

Sack race
Egg and Spoon race
3 legged race
Hurdles

Tug of war

Kids – watch out for Ursula!! She is very competitive!

12.30pm – Family PicnicBring a plate or whatever you would like to eat and drink on the day.We will also have a sausage sizzle at a cost of $2.
What to bring?
Water and refreshments
Sneakers / Runners / Trainers
Shorts / T-shirts
Change of clothes if wet weather
Kids dress up clothes an option for Alice in Wonderland adventure
Picnic food and drink

This is a Family Fun Event and Picnic and participation is at your own risk.

Donations:
This event aligns with one of our goals to create awareness about T1D and grow the community.
This is not a fund-raising specific event. We are mindful that many people have already donated.
Under Centennial Parklands rules, we are not allowed to collect money in the park.If you would like to make a donation we can share the link to the Everyday Hero website.
